July 2020

Semi-Finalist at Quantify 2020. Prepared a solution and analysis for a hypothetical insurance company. Recommended a merger to offer multi-line insurance. Presented to Actuaries from several Canadian insurance companies.

November 2020

Semi-Finalist in the annual case competition. Presented a creative idea for IKEA to implement with the objective of inspiring Canadians to make environmentally conscious changes to their everyday lives with IKEA.

Scotiabank Capstone Project

April 2021

Finalist in the annual Capstone Project for GCM Co-op Students. Collaborated with a team of co-op students to prepare a formal pitch of Scotiabank products to a theoretical corporate client hoping to expand their operations into the United States.

  • Automated a recurring data validation process using Python (Pandas) and SQL for accurate and timely reporting
  • Increased the granularity of validated GL accounts by 316% resulting in more accurate inputs for financial models
  • Incorporated two extra checks for each of the four user-defined dimensions, increasing the validation scope by 800%
  • Initiated the development of a future process improvement and successfully facilitated productive conversations to develop a strategy and timeline for combining two monthly reporting processes
  • Presented a demo of the automated data validation project to the Canada Finance team and created formal documentation (SOP) for the process transition to the new owner

About Me

Student at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University

I am a motivated and driven young professional who is passionate about continuous learning and growth. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University through the Honours Double Degree Program. Additionally, I am working towards a minor in computing at UWaterloo and a specialization in accounting at Laurier.

During my free time, I enjoy playing with my cat, spending quality time with my loved ones, immersing myself in a good book, attempting to learn Italian, and keeping myself active by using my exercise bike.
